Workshop
Introduction to Wet Felting
Saturday 16 May, 1.30pm
Cost: £40
You will learn how to lay soft merino fibres around a flat resist. Using soap and water, you will agitate the fibres and find out the correct time to remove the resist and continue working your 3-D bowl or mould into a taller shape.
Suitable for beginners or those who have felted before.
Please bring an old towel to work on, a waterproof bag to take damp work home in, and, should you wish, an apron.
Hot drink and cake included. All equipment provided. Please note that under 16’s must be accompanied by a paying adult.
Penny Dixon is a textile artist who has been felting and teaching workshops for over 18 years. She is a member of the International Feltmakers Association and the Heritage Crafts Association, and her work often reflects inspiration from organic forms encountered on long muddy dog walks.
