Celebrate the festive season with creativity and craftsmanship at our Mosaic Christmas Wreath workshop, held in the museum's welcoming surroundings. Designed for both beginners and those with some mosaic experience, this enjoyable session offers the perfect opportunity to explore a new skill while creating a beautiful seasonal decoration to treasure year after year.
During the workshop, you will work on a wooden wreath base (approximately 300mm in diameter) and be guided step by step through the process of designing and creating your own unique mosaic piece. With all materials provided, you can arrive ready to relax and enjoy a creative, hands-on experience.
Throughout the workshop, you will learn essential mosaic techniques, including how to cut, shape, and place tiles (tesserae) to bring your festive design to life. With plenty of individual guidance and encouragement, you’ll gain confidence in working with tools and materials while developing your own artistic style.
To keep the session enjoyable and unhurried, grouting will be completed at home, with clear illustrated instructions to help you achieve a beautiful, professional finish.
Light lunch and all equipment included.
Please note that this session is suitable for those aged 18 and over.
