Workshop

Canal art trays

Saturday 29 August

10am

Cost: £80

Join Kerri, the Heritage Crafter, to learn about this endangered art and create a beautiful tray to take home. In this workshop, Kerri will cover a bit of history as well as development of the art, what kit you need (and how to treat it right!) and the Braunston style roses and daisies. This workshop is suitable for complete beginners as well as more experienced artists looking to improve their skills or try something new.

Light lunch included. Please note that under 16’s must be accompanied by a paying adult.

Kerri specialises in traditional decorative art techniques such as signwriting, canal art and gilding. She learned her craft the traditional way - at the knee of a master – studying with craftspeople at the top of their game. Kerri champions Heritage Crafts constantly, through workshops, school visits and talks and has featured on television programmes such as All Around Britain and Love Your Weekend with Alan Titchmarsh.
