Pyrography basically means 'writing with fire' or creating art with fire. It is the art or technique of decorating wood by burning a design on the surface by hand with a heated metallic point. In this introductory session, you will learn to mark make with a hot wire pen before creating your own design on a board. At the end of the session, the board will be treated with food-safe oil so it can be used as a cheese board or for chopping.
Hot drink and cake included. All equipment provided.
Connie is a Welsh maker and the founder of Connie Flower. She crafts through the medium of wood and the art of Pyrography, creating unique pieces of jewellery, functional homeware items and original wood art for your home.
