The party will take place in the wonderful Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Gardens between 12 noon and 3.30pm (weather permitting).

A free, family-friendly event in aid of the Mayor's (Councillor Sharon Harvey) charities. Join the Mayor and compere David Lawrence for an afternoon of entertainment and competitions.

What's happening

  • Gentle music from local artists (singing and dancing encouraged)
  • Roving magician David Oakley, from the Magic Circle (you will be amazed)
  • Hat competitions (make or bring a hat for the Mayor to judge)
  • Name the Mad Hatter bear and win the prize (an exceptionally large bear)
  • Specialist Mad Hatter tea (made by Carol at Mrs Darley's Herbal)
  • Barbecue and picnic baskets from The Garden Kitchen (picnic baskets available by pre-order only)
  • Raffle (superb prizes) and Bewdley Cobblers selling a unique mixture of hats
  • Meet the Pets As Therapy dogs, Aura and Doris
  • Theatre group (to be confirmed)
