Workshop - Introduction to Marquetry
Saturday 22 March, 1pm to 4pm

Learn the skilled craft of marquetry, which uses natural wood veneer to produce pictures and decorate boxes and items of furniture. This introduction requires no previous experience and will give you the opportunity to try simple marquetry to create a pendant for use on a keyring or chain.
Enjoy a slice of cake and cup of tea or coffee included.
Quentin is a freelance marquetry artist (marquetarian) with over 30 years experience of making high-quality, hand-cut, marquetry and parquetry. He is the founder of the Staffordshire Marquetry Group and a former President of The Marquetry Society and has received numerous awards at the Society's international exhibitions including for miniature, portraiture and applied work.
