Cherry Fayre and 1940s weekend

cherries in a basket

Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 July

10am - 4.30pm

A free family event with something for everyone!

More than 60 years ago Bewdley was the centre for a flourishing cherry trade and with a 200 year tradition of an annual Cherry Fayre since at least 1817. So we hope that people may learn of former times and support our effort to rescue the different varieties of cherry. The event is a joint event with Bewdley Civic Society, telling visitors the history of the cherry orchards in Bewdley.  Read historical notes for the Cherry Fayre courtesy of Bewdley Civic Society.
