New beginners Yoga course with qualified Yoga Instructor PJ from Beaudeley Yoga in Bewdley.
The class takes place every Thursday at 6.45 until 7.45pm in the Guild Hall at Bewdley Museum. Just turn up and pay as you go.
Here is what the PJ has to say:
“My name is Picolien Jane Kingsley, however everyone calls me PJ. I’m a second generation yoga teacher; I focus mostly on Yin, Hatha and Vinyasa flow yoga styles.
I will be teaching a beginners Yoga course which will introduce you to Hatha yoga - which describes any kind of yoga where poses are practised. I will also be giving a class on Vinyasa flow. Vinyasa, also called flow because of the smooth way that the poses run together, is one of the most popular contemporary styles of yoga. I will end off the 6 week course with a couple of Yin yoga classes (my personal favourite). Yin yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga with postures, or asanas, that are held for longer periods of time—for beginners, it may range from 45 seconds to two minutes; more advanced practitioners may stay in one asana for five minutes or more.
My personal style is gentle but deep. I am not a “power yoga” teacher but prefer to focus on a more holistic approach, “bridging Mind, Body and Soul”.
I look forward to teaching and learning and growing together with you during our time together.”
