We welcome groups of all ages, and our pre-booked guided tours of the museum have proven increasingly popular. Local history; local trades and industries; horticulture and the history of Bewdley Museum are some of the themes which can be chosen.
Many choose to watch our demonstrations of claypipe-making and ropemaking. Group visits can be combined with refreshments at the Shambles Cafe which can provide drinks, snacks and light lunches.
We also offer a programme of walks and craft workshops. For more information see what's On.
The museum has a range of loan boxes for hire which support the National Curriculum, are perfect for demonstrations in classes or just for general interest. Each box comes with an information leaflet complete with teaching notes.
Loan boxes are available to any group, not just schools.
We offer reasonably priced pre-booked packages for schools, these include the ever-popular World War 2; local history and rivers programmes plus visits covering other aspects of the history and geography curriculum. Some of these visits can be booked in conjunction with a Severn Valley Railway train journey. Many of our programmes offer opportunities for cross-curricular, themed or topic based studies for all key stages.
Information about our school and group visits and courses can be found below. If you have any queries please contact us.
